Vaugrat campsite in Guernsey
Guernsey Islands is such a wonderful little gem. Closer to the French coast than the English one, Guernsey has warmer, less rainy weather than England and its breathtaking landscape and decent weather make campsites a popular accommodation option on the island, especially since you can bring your caravan on the ferry to Guernsey.
Popular campsites in Guernsey
Twenty minutes away by boat is Herm Island. For some truly peaceful camping (no cars) head here. On Guernsey, one the local favourites is Le Bailloterie Campsite on the north of the island, only 3 miles from St. Peter Port, but still set in a rural location within walking distance of the beaches.
Faxquet Valley Farm Campsite is set in the interior of the island among the glorious nature that abounds in Guernsey. Faxquet Valley has a heated pool, great amenities, lots of space for the kids to play, a bar and restaurant and is recommended by the AA.
Stunning panorama
The third major campsite on the island is Vaugrat Campsite. Vaugrat is in the north west near Baie du Port Grat and Le Grand Havre beaches. The site is flat and you must book ahead. No pets are allowed and there is plenty of space for children to run amuck around this family-run campsite.
