Las Vegas literally rises from the middle of a barren desert, an oasis in the truest sense of the word and the best part of this oasis is its hotels. The Wynn is one of the newest and rivals any other hotel in terms of class of service. Paris is dominated by the Eiffel Tower, the Luxor is a black glass pyramid with a light beam visible from space. Caesar’s Palace is actually a palace, the Bellagio has a daily choreographed music and water show and the Venetian is pure opulence.
Casinos
The newer hotel casinos are state of the art with professional croupiers and fine tables. The clientele is completely varied. The drinks are free and unlimited and there are no windows. The Vegas casino security teams rival those of MI6.

Shows
One of the things you must absolutely do in Las Vegas is see a show. The city is home to some of the best shows and concerts in the world. Regular features include Donnie and Marie (classic Vegas), the Blue Man Group, Cirque de Soleil, Celine Dion and Cher. Major concerts are common and Vegas is also the US’s most popular place for conventions, although no one is convinced that much work happens.
Getting there...
Most people will fly into Las Vegas’ International Airport, McCannan (LAS). The majority of flights will have to layover in other airports like Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Houston etc. If you intend to stay on the The Strip, there is no need to rent a car and you can buy a cheap transfer ahead to time to the city, or just get a cab. There are slot machines in the airport go you might get lucky before you even arrive!
